Formerly a teacher and librarian, I am now a freelance writer and children’s book author. I have published essays, poetry, magazine articles, and web articles. I maintain a child safety blog, as well.My first book, What Would You Do? A Kid’s Guide to Staying Safe in a World of Strangers, was honored as a Best Books Award Finalist, USA Book News and was awarded five stars as a Reader’s Favorite. It includes two sections of researched and effective strategies and resources for children, parents, and teachers to help them better deal with today’s ever-increasing bullying problem.
