Hello writers. I just joined this site and thought i'd introduce myself. But after looking at some of the work that the authors who are listed here have published, I may not be good enough to be a member here. I've only had two of my 'coffee table' short stories published. I'll not mention the 'publisher'. I'll just say i'm happy to call myself a writer although I've not had anything so great as others here on this site have had. I'll quietly remove myself from the site. Thank you anyway. I wish you all the best and great success.

Welcome, William.
Congratulations on having the guts to come on here. Congraultaions on having your short stories published. They sound very relaxing! A writer is someone who cannot help themselves. They must write. Every time we begin a new novel or piece of prose or poetry, or craft a child's book, we are once again a new writer.
I recently took up art/drawing again after many years doing other things. I am so enjoying being a new graphic artist and have become almost adicted to my Wacom tablet (good medicine for an artist), and my electronic pen. My next 'new' genre is a comic book, a dream since I was ten, when my siblings and I made comics by hand, in pencil, to sell to our friends! That was labour-intensive. I also want to see my Runaway Princesses as a TV kid's series, or even an animated film. I will be totally new to those kinds of media, so I want to stay forever as a 'new writer'. I was welcomed in by Serena, who is very kind. Maybe we should all stay.
Don't go!! Everyone starts somewhere! I just recently had my first novel published on the first of this month, otherwise I only have a handful of short stories out there. Trust me, I won't mention some of the publishers I had either. Live and learn, I guess.
You may be able to pick up some tips, utilize some publicity opportunities, and learn more by staying here, than by leaving. Give it a shot for a little bit at least. :-)
